Schedule of EventsSnowball also hosts a bevy of winter activities such as skating, snowball throwing game, tobogganing hill, chainsaw carving demo, minnow races, horse-drawn wagon rides, Mini Snowmobile rides, Snow Snake Games, Children's Broomball Tournament, hockey shoot-out, kids vs adult hockey game, snowshoe races, Hockey Night in Dorset and more! People come in the Rec Centre to warm up and to see the excellent entertainment in the main hall in the Rec Centre between 11am and 3pm. Local groups will be selling draw tickets and hosting a silent auction while the entertainment happens.

Knox United Church and St. Mary Magdalene's Anglican Church provide coffee, tea and sweets in the Rec Centre. People can come in, have a seat, warm up and have a wondeful homemade treat. Check out the live entertainment in the Snowball Cafe.

The Lifeliners, a volunteer group of local women who do catering to donate all their proceeds back to the community provide a hot lunch. Anyone who has sampled this home cooking knows to order in advance as they always sell out.

The Dorset Outdoor Skating Rink is open all day long (weather permitting) and people are welcome to come for a skate, listen to music, and enjoy the winter wonderland surrounding our beautiful rink.
Snowboarding was once a popular event at Snowball. The hill has since been taken over by sleds and toboggans. Sorry guys . . . Snowboarding
Lennard Locke - Trapper Stew In years past, The Dorset and Dwight Trapping Association provide a fascinating display with samples of snowshoes, equipment, different types of furs and best of all, their world famous Trapper's Stew.
The Emes Family of Emes Hill, Dorset provide a wonderful example of a typical maple syrup shack and offer free samples of maple syrup taffy on snow. Listen for the steam whistle to find the Emes Family display. Emes Maple Syrup Display
