Saturday Events - Inside Stuff
- Muskoka Shrine Club Hillbilly All Day Pancake Breakfast
Adult - $6 plus a Snowball Button, Children 6-12 - $4 plus a button, Children under 6 are free. Pancakes, sausage, syrup, coffee, tea, milk, orange juice or hot chocolate. Upstairs in the Recreation Centre from 8:00am to 3:00pm.
- Muskoka Shrine Club Hillbilly Lunch
One sausage = $5, One hot dog = $3 (Snowball Button required). On a bun with fixings, coffee, tea, orange juice, milk or hot chocolate. Veggie Dogs will be available. Upstairs in the Recreation Centre from 8:00am to 3:00pm.
- Dorset Lions Club will be selling draw tickets upstairs in the Rec Centre throughout the day with proceeds to community betterment.
- Haliburton Land Trust What animal has a blue tail that it can drop to fool predators? Which snake in Haliburton is more comfortable in the water than on the land? Just how long can Snapping Turtles live? Come and visit the Haliburton Highlands Land Trust’s display to learn the answers to these questions and much more about biodiversity in Haliburton County. Our Species at Risk slide show will help you identify the 21 Species at Risk in the County. Drop by to learn more about how you can protect the land you love. The Haliburton Highlands Land Trust is a non-profit, non-governmental environmental charity. The Land Trust works to protect the natural heritage of Haliburton County for future generations. We now own, manage and protect 600 acres of ecologically sensitive land in Haliburton County: Norah’s Island, Dahl Forest and Smith Forest.

- Library Open 10am to 12pm - children's activity,a quiet spot to come in, warm up & have a rest.
- Drumming Circle with Rhythmic by Nature in the library from 1 to 2:15pm. The spirit and magic of drumming and rhythm transcends all ages, gender, religions, races, and cultures. Drum circles have the power to heal and empower, to foster unity and community, and to liberate our primal souls! Experience Rhythmic by Nature, create community, shed inhibitions, release your passion, and celebrate life through rhythm. No Hand Drumming Experience Necessary! (instruments will be available) Bring any hand-drums or percussion instruments you have. An all ages, accessible, family-friendly event.
- Silent Auction - upstairs in the Rec Centre from 11am to 3pm. A selection of wonderful items to bid on - auction closes and winners can pick up their items at 3pm. Proceeds towards next year's Snowball.
- Dorset Heritage Museum - 50/50 Draw, calendars, post cards and cookbooks on sale upstairs in the Rec Centre from 11am to 3pm.
- Dorset Heritage Museum will be open today from 10am to 4pm - come in and have a look!

Snowball Cafe - Tea, Coffee & Sweets & Bake Sale provided by Knox United's UCW and St. Mary Magdalene's Anglican Church, downstairs in the Rec Centre. Have a seat, take a rest and warm up! 11am to 3pm.

Paul Wilson will entertain with his voice and guitar in the Snowball Cafe - downstairs in the Rec Centre 11am - 3pm.

Chili Lunch with a dinner roll to eat in or take home, provided by the Dorset Lifeliners. (Vegetarian chili will be available.) Available downstairs in Rec Centre 11am - 3pm.
- Stonecarving Workshop with Elise Muller of Stone Tree Studio downstairs in Rec Centre 12 - 3pm. Try your hand at stonecarving. An assortment of files, polishing papers and stone (alabaster and soapstone) will be available to try. Elise will also be displaying and selling her sculptures.
- Face Painting with Painted Kids downstairs in Rec Centre 12 - 3pm. Kids - stop in and get a cheeky work of art created by a professional face painter.
- Snowball Souvenirs such as sweatshirts, coffee mugs, hats and headbands, on sale in the Rec Centre. Don't forget to fill out your ballot for the free draw. (draw held at next Snowball Committee Meeting) .
- Minnow Races downstairs in Rec Centre 12 - 3pm. Provided by The Township of Algonquin Highlands Council.
Non Stop Entertainment Schedule - Inside
- 12pm & 2pm - Circus Jonathan , One Man Circus Show in the main hall of the Rec Centre. See Circus Jonathan stilt walking in the parade, strolling through out the carnival area juggling and balloon twisting.
- 1pm - Central Ontario School of Falconry Birds of Prey Show - upstairs in the Rec Centre - learn all about birds from our area and see an amazing bird of prey hunt in our gym - keep your fur hats covered!
